Omsk is an old Siberian town

Omsk is an old Siberian town which is situated on the banks of the Irtysh and 0m rivers. It was founded in 1716 by a group of Russian soldiers and Cossacks. For a long time Omsk was a place of exile. Decembrists and other revolutionaries were exiled by the tzarist Government to Omsk. It was in a gray atone fortress on the right bank of the On river that a great Russian writer Dostoyevsky was kept for four years. Before the revolution Onsk was a dirty town with unpaved streets. There were very few stone houses, no parks and gardens. Omsk is a birthplace of many famous people. A well-known painter Vrubel, an outstanding revolutionary and statesman Kuibyshev, a Hero of the Soviet Union Karbyshev were born in our town. Many revolutionaries: Lobkov, Maslennikov, Rabinovich, Neibut and others struggled against white guards in Omsk. The people of Omsk honor the memory of fallen heroes* You can see a memorial square and the monument to fighters for revolution in the center of the city,Я знаю, что проведу отдых в анапе 2011 год.
